As the FPGA Board Applications Engineer at Altera, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experience to our customers and partners by understanding, anticipating and satisfying their needs, so that we inspire innovation, accelerate customer success and grow revenue.
Your Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Identifying and developing board design guidelines and collateral.
- Collaborates with architects, package design engineers, board design engineers, hardware verification engineers and technical project managers in reviewing board/development kit rollout plan.
- Representing customer voice in influencing internal teams to continuously improve quality, usability and debuggability of FPGA boards/development kits.
- Providing best-in-class technical support to resolve board design related issues escalated to Factory.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in semi-conductor industry (including a minimum of 5 years of FPGA board design experience).
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive technical/strategic discussions and determine necessary solutions.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Good technical skills in FPGA technologies including EMIF, I/O, PCIe, Ethernet and hard/soft processors is an advantage.
- EDA tool exposure (Concept HDL, OrCAD, Allegro, Ansys, HyperLynx).
- Analog & High-speed Digital design Embedded/Telecom/RF domain experience will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to Thermal & Mechanical design reviews will be an added advantage
- Experience in engaging/enabling/supporting customers is a strong plus.
