Job Description:
Role Overview
As an FPGA Configuration Architect (Grade 8), you will contribute to the design, development, and validation of FPGA configuration architecture and subsystems. You will work closely with senior architects and cross-functional teams to implement configuration features, debug system issues, and ensure robust FPGA configuration across product lifecycles. This role is hands-on technical with opportunities to grow into domain ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration Architecture Development
- Contribute to configuration subsystem architecture definition
- Support configuration schemes such as JTAG, SPI, CvP
- Support architecture documentation (HAS, micro-architecture specs)
Design & Implementation
- Develop configuration-related RTL / firmware / interfaces
- Implement control logic and data paths
- Ensure design meets performance and reliability targets
Debug, Validation & Bring-up
- Support silicon bring-up and debug
- Investigate configuration failures and bitstream issues
- Work with validation teams for root cause analysis
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with architecture, software, firmware, and validation teams
- Participate in design reviews
Performance & Quality Improvement
- Optimize configuration time and robustness
Documentation & Engineering Excellence
- Maintain design specs, test plans, and debug documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical / Computer Engineering or related field
- Deep understanding of hardware design, with at least 10 years of experience in design and architecture.
- Strong understanding of FPGA design, with at least 7 years of experience in configuration architecture and design.
