The Role

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer (React / Vue.js / .NET / Node.js) to work on a contract basis within the finance sector. In this role, you'll take on hands-on development across the front-end and back-end, while embracing AI-assisted coding as part of your daily workflow. You'll play a key part in delivering clean, well-documented solutions and contributing to a growing AI code knowledge base, all while working alongside a collaborative team of developers.

What You'll Do

• Analyse requirements and perform development, coding, and AI-assisted coding tasks

• Communicate or escalate bottlenecks and work complications to find viable solutions

• Contribute to the AI code knowledge base and advocate for best practices

• Conduct code reviews and use AI coding tools (Claude Code / Copilot) day-to-day

• Collaborate closely with team members, actively communicating requirements and solutions

• Support and mentor junior developers and interns

• Deliver working solutions with clean architecture and well-documented code, meeting governance requirements

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an IT-related field

• 2-5 years of full-stack development experience, ideally within insurance, financial services, or another regulated enterprise environment

• Min 2 years of React.js and/or Vue.js experience with strong JavaScript/TypeScript fundamentals

• Min 2 years of .NET Core and/or Node.js backend development experience

• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and building/using an AI code knowledge base

• Understanding of token-efficient prompting and context-management techniques when generating code with AI

• Strong ability to understand business requirements and communicate effectively with stakeholders
