Full-Stack Developer (Experience in C++/Java/NTT COBOL/Strong Linux)

Our client's project is a well-established brand in the Information Technology industry who is now looking for a passionate and driven Full-Stack Developer position. This is an exciting opportunity to expand your skill set, achieve job satisfaction and work-life balance.

Job Type: Contract Position
Contract duration: 7 months (Extendable Contract)
Key Responsibilities:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related discipline
Full-Stack Development
Developer with strong programming skills in C++, Java, and NTT COBOL.
Strong Linux command proficiency including process and resource management.
Able to write shell scripts for builds, deployments, and automation.
Infrastructure & System Knowledge
Possess intermediate level infrastructure skillset, including understanding of networks, servers, and storage dependencies.
Knowledge of Linux command line for system navigation, file management, and troubleshooting.
Experience in application installation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting across environments.
Quality Assurance & Testing
Work with QA testers to debug, tune performance, and ensure security & reliability.
Troubleshooting & Support
Perform 1st-level troubleshooting for system issues or program errors.
View system/application logs, understand service states, and trace issues in app runtime environment.
Provide support in resolving incidents, escalating where required.
Vendor Deliverable Code Reviews
Review vendor code to ensure compliance with best practices.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain development documentation, configurations, and system integrations.
Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and resolutions for knowledge sharing.
Job Specification:
Technical/ Functional skills
Proficiency in C++ and Java
NTT COBOL will be added advantage
Ability to identify and resolve system issues or program errors
Basic knowledge of clean code principles, security best practices, and coding standards.
Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
Ability to maintain clear and structured technical documentation
Linux Competencies
Strong proficiency in Linux command-line usage for system navigation and file management
Ability to monitor and manage Linux processes, services, and system resources
Experience with shell scripting for automation, deployment, and operational tasks
Familiarity with Linux system logs and basic troubleshooting techniques
Understanding of user/group management, permissions, and file ownership
Knowledge of package management and software installation on Linux systems
Ability to analyze performance issues using Linux utilities (e.g., top, ps, vmstat, iostat)
Non-Technical Skills
Problem solving mind-set with attention to details
Effective time management and prioritization skills to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality solutions
Thoroughness and attention to detail in documentation, code reviews, and quality assurance processes.
