Role Description
The Fund Operations Associate is a full-time, hybrid role (1 day per week at the office and 4 days per week from home) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position supports operational processes related to fund administration, ensuring efficient workflow and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Bank account opening
Application form set up
Payment processing
Investor application review with full AML/KYC compliance
Conduct reconciliations of bank accounts, investor transactions, and unit balances
Draft and review investor communications, transaction confirmations, and statements
Ensure all operational activities are conducted in accordance with internal policies, fund documentation, and regulatory obligations
Identify operational risks and assist in maintaining internal controls and compliance with fund documentation and regulatory requirements
Facilitating communication with internal teams and external stakeholders
Providing excellent customer service
Contributing to operational efficiency and delivering an exceptional client experience
What We're Looking For
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
A quick learner and critical thinker who thrives in a small, dynamic team
13 years experience in fund administration/financial services (not mandatory)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field
Knowledge of AML/CTF obligations and investor due diligence (not mandatory)
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Available to work Australian business hours (Melbourne time) and amenable to aligning public holiday entitlements with the Australian public holiday calendar
