The Job
The Furniture Design / Production Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end process of furniture design, product development, and manufacturing operations.
To ensures that all furniture products meet design intent, quality standards, cost targets, and project timelines.
To support retail fit-out, commercial, and bespoke furniture projects.
Responsibility
Manage furniture design from concept, drawings, and samples to final production.
Oversee daily factory production operations and production scheduling.
Ensure products meet quality standards, design specifications, and project timelines.
Coordinate with project, procurement, and site teams for smooth delivery and installation.
Control production costs, materials, and wastage.
Lead and supervise design, production, and carpentry teams.
Resolve design, production, and quality issues effectively.
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Furniture Design, Interior Design, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 7 years experience in furniture manufacturing or retail fit-out.
Strong knowledge of furniture materials, joinery, and production processes.
Able to read and prepare technical drawings (AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage).
Good leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Applicants should have the ability to work in Malaysia.
