Maintain all gears and related equipment in good condition and well recorded including carrying out maintenance (normal) and coordinate maintenance schedule program with vendor.
All related records and file (if any) are up to date and well-kept according to standard.
Responsible to maintain a safe and clean working environment. Strike to achieve zero LTI and drive the safety culture in the terminal.
Ensure that all equipment is clean, perfect working order and are certified officially by the external vendor.
Coordination of OOG's and / or Breakbulk by contacting of Vessel Planner and / or Operation Specialist, preparation of the special equipment or tools, example: low bed, wire sling, chain sling, lashing belts, lifting lugs and all other related items.
Keep gear locker clean, organize, secure and ensure proper inventory of all equipment.
Coordinate replacement and new purchases with shift group and OOG's and / or Breakbulk movement.
To ensure and record correct measurement of OOGs (Out of Gauge) and / or break bulk in terminal and update to Cargo Planning team.
Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate superior from time to time.
Requirements:
Physically and medically fit, normal color vision and good eyesight. Possess at least Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).
Minimum 3 year related working experience in handling break-bulk and heavy lifts in port.
Possess valid class D driving License.
Knowledge in the use and maintenance of lifting equipment.
Ability to interpret container load plans.
Able to work in shift hours.
Resourceful, well organized and able to work with little supervision.
Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both spoken and written.
Candidates with Rigging & Slinging certification is an advantage.
