Our client is a well-established global FMCG organisation with a strong legacy in manufacturing and supply chain operations. They are currently looking to appoint a Regional General Counsel to oversee their legal function across Southeast Asia.
Your new role
As a General Counsel and Head of department, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading all corporate commercial matters including drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts across the business
- Overseeing corporate governance, compliance and risk management across regional operations
- Managing litigation matters and liaising with external counsel where required
- Providing legal advisory support to business units across Southeast Asia
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Managing and mentoring a regional legal team across Malaysia and Indonesia
- Working closely with senior stakeholders on strategic and operational legal matters
What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 10-15 years of legal experience
- Relevant experience within FMCG, manufacturing or supply chain industries is preferred.
- Regional exposure within Southeast Asia and experience in an MNC environment
- Strong hands-on experience across corporate commercial, governance, compliance and litigation
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel occasionally within the region
