GENERAL MANAGER

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a driven, grounded, and operationally sharp General Manager to support the CEO in executing business strategy, strengthening internal processes, and ensuring delivery across lending, advisory, and digital initiatives. The GM will serve as the right hand to the CEO - translating ideas into execution, holding teams accountable, and building systems that scale.

This is not a figurehead role. We need someone who will do the actual work - solve problems, drive execution, and lead teams with focus and accountability. If youre not ready to get your hands dirty, this isnt the job for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Operational Leadership

Take ownership of day-to-day operations across the company. Ensure seamless coordination across departments. Identify gaps, close loops, and resolve operational issues proactively without waiting for escalation.

2.Strategic Execution

Translate the CEOs strategic direction into actionable workstreams and ensure timely delivery of business priorities.

3.Team Development & Culture

Lead by example to build a culture of performance, accountability, and integrity. Provide guidance and coaching to mid-level managers to drive a performance-based culture, and help nurture a resilient and committed team.

4.Governance & Compliance

Ensure the business operates in full compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of documentation needed for internal controls, audits, or regulatory reporting. Monitor risks and implement mitigation where needed.

5.Project & Product Management

Manage key workstreams & cross-functional projects tied to business growth and operational improvement. Ensure projects are scoped clearly, resourced appropriately, and tracked to completion. Monitor progress closely and ensure alignment with both internal and group-level expectations.

6.Stakeholder Management

Coordinate group-level functions to meet reporting requirements, support governance processes, and align on shared operational matters. Prepare accurate inputs and reports for board submissions, financial reporting, internal audits, and cross-entity initiatives. Ensure transparency, responsiveness, and follow-through in all engagements with the group.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 8 years experience in financial services, specifically in lending, credit operations, or structured finance not general admin or sales roles.
  • Proven track record in managing teams and departments, with direct oversight of credit, finance, legal, or compliance functions.
  • Strong understanding & knowledge of regulatory and licensing requirements relevant to financial services, and how they apply in day-to-day operations.
  • Able to drive execution with clear expectations, deadlines, and ownership at every level.
  • Hands-on, with a disciplined operational mindset, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working closely with a CEO who expects clarity, ownership, and results.
