Job Description

The company is a fast-growing fashion retailer, focused on delivering premium, trend-driven apparel through an online-to-offline model. With a strong presence in offline retail and a growing eCommerce footprint, the company is observing rapid growth globally. The business operates a network of strategically located stores across high-traffic malls, urban centers, and suburban hubs, supported by its own website and marketplace partners.

The General Manager (GM) will lead the end-to-end business for this fast-growing fashion retail brand, responsible for driving commercial performance, retail excellence/expansion, inventory strategy and omnichannel growth. This role oversees P&L delivery, merchandising, store operations, eCommerce, marketing, supply chain and people leadership in the APAC region. This role will be expected to work closely with the international expansion team of the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

P&L Ownership

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews
  • Drive sales growth, optimize margins and manage operating expenses
  • Improve store productivity, sell-through, inventory turns and markdown efficiency

Commercial Strategy and Market Leadership

  • Develop and execute a clear growth strategy across stores, eCommerce and marketplaces
  • Localize assortment, pricing, promotions and brand positioning to align with market needs
  • Translate global/HQ objectives into local action plans with clear KPIs

Retail, Store & Supply Chain Operations

  • Oversee multi-store operations to ensure consistent store standards, customer experience and operational discipline
  • Implement SOPs, retail KPIs, compliance checklists and productivity initiatives
  • Strengthen frontline capabilities in Visual Merchandizing, stock management, service and omnichannel operations.
  • Ensure efficient logistics, inventory accuracy, stock availability, and cost control
  • Manage vendors, 3PLs, warehouse operations and reverse logistics efficiency
  • Reduce out-of-stock rates and returns while improving delivery speed and cost-to-serve

Digital and Omnichannel Growth

  • Drive eCommerce revenue through assortment, pricing, UX optimization and CRM
  • Lead marketplace performance (e.g. Zalora, Shopee, Lazada) with clear ROI-driven KPIs
  • Implement omnichannel initiatives such as ship-from-store, click-and-collect, and real-time inventory

People Leadership

  • Build and develop a high-performing team across retail ops, merchandising, eCommerce and support functions
  • Strengthen store leadership capabilities; upgrade talent where needed
  • Drive a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.

Experience & Qualification:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in fashion retail, fast-fashion, apparel or lifestyle brands
  • Strong commercial leadership with full P&L ownership in a multi-store environment
  • Proven success scaling omnichannel retail businesses
  • Deep understanding of merchandising, category planning and inventory management
  • Experience with high SKU complexity and seasonality
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken Mandarin is essential for this role due to the extensive communication with partners and suppliers in China
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Excellent people leadership across both corporate and store teams
  • Regional (SEA) experience is a strong advantage
