Job Description

Job Summary:

General Manager (GM) is responsible for providing focused leadership to the Manufacturing Operations within a site. GM leads staff members of the site and interacts with Managers of other sites and customer teams to drive execution. GM has ultimate responsibility for site financial and organizational performance.

Job Responsibilities:

1.Provide leadership, direction and oversight to all functional management within the site including Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Materials, HR, Program Management and Quality.

2.Work closely with the other site management teams as well as Manufacturing Solutions corporate resources (Supply Chain, Materials, HR, Finance, Accounting, Global Customer Services and Global Market Development) to help company attain world-class status through metrics, change management and continuous improvement.

3.Together with the Customer Manager or Director assigned to each customer within the site, enhance the customer relationship through consistent execution and communication with the customer.

4.Provide leadership to site team and work directly with the CM/CD's to ensure management of the customer P&L and secure future growth opportunities (including QBR).

5.Support and strengthen the company brand within the site by implementing best practices which support the customer experience.

6.Develop goals and objectives for site management which ensure execution to company's enduring goals and development of individuals to fill the talent pipeline for future succession.

7.Establish measurable goals, objectives and metrics for the management staff and site. Set direction and ensure accountability for performance to these metrics as well as site-specific projects and continuous improvement activities

8. Maintain a current site organization chart and succession plan. The plan should include personal development and career management for individuals to fill key roles within the site.

9.Build strong leadership, functional and operational teams focused on delivering operational excellence and customer service excellence. Site leadership is well

integrated with regional and corporate resources to achieve aligned site, regional and global manufacturing solution goals.

10. Create the conditions where PSOE and BEST approaches are successful vehicles to continuous improvement. Ensure the strategy, processes and measures are in place to move towards a culture where ever increasing employee engagement at the site is evident. Leaders are equipped with skills to support their teams to be able to adapt to and engage in inevitable ongoing change.

11. Balances data, experience and intuition to successfully manage ambiguity. Processes, organizational capability and culture combine to consistently achieve PSOE targets. A well-functioning system of management supports transparency of progress to Operational Excellence goals.

12. Ensure the processes, organizational capability and culture combine to consistently meet agreed commitments to customers. Strong links to our customer service organization enable win-win customer solutions as well as effective shared responsibility for managing the challenges of the complex manufacturing space we operate in.

Delivers Site Financial and Other Performance Goals

13. Understands customer demand and delivers promised forecast for the site.

14. Effectively balances short- and long-term quality objectives.

15. Ensure transparency and accuracy of financial and other performance data to drive sound and timely decision making within the context of the regional and site strategies.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering with 15 years equivalent industry experience.

A highly skilled manager with well-rounded experience or lean knowledge in manufacturing environment is preferred.

P&L experience as a Plant Manager or above level with management responsibility for manufacturing processes of high technology products and services in an electronics-manufacturing environment is beneficial.

Must be self-motivated with the ability to provide leadership while working independently, as well as in a team environment.

Ability to communicate through written and oral communication to all levels of the organization is critical.

Enthusiasm toward coordination of teams in the contract manufacturing services industry with a focus on support and direction of manufacturing and customer teams.
