General Manager, Strategy

Job Purpose

The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) is responsible for defining, driving, and executing the Company's overall strategic direction. This role leads and ensures that business priorities are translated into actionable initiatives and delivered with measurable impact. The CSO acts as a key advisor to the CEO and Board, ensuring alignment between long-term strategy and operational execution.

Key Accountabilities

1. Corporate Strategy Development

· Lead the development of short-, medium-, and long-term corporate strategies aligned with business goals

· Conduct market, competitor, and industry analysis to identify growth opportunities

· Facilitate annual strategic planning and review cycles across business units

· Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team

2. Transformation Leadership

• Drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives (digital, operational, commercial, and organizational)
• Identify and prioritize high-impact transformation programs
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
• Ensure change management frameworks are in place for successful adoption

3. Strategic Execution

• Oversee the execution of key strategic initiatives and ensure timely delivery
• Establish governance frameworks, KPIs, and tracking mechanisms
• Monitor performance against strategic objectives and intervene where necessary
• Ensure cross-functional alignment and accountability for delivery

4. Performance Management & Value Realisation

· Track and report strategic KPIs and business performance metrics

· Ensure initiatives deliver intended financial and operational outcomes

· Drive data-driven decision-making across the organization

· Present progress updates to the Executive Committee and Board

5. Stakeholder Management

· Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO, Board, and senior leadership

· Collaborate closely with business units to ensure strategy alignment and execution

· Engage external stakeholders where necessary (consultants, partners, regulators)

6. Team Leadership

• Lead and develop high-performing teams across:
• Strategy
• Build strong internal capabilities in strategy execution and project delivery
• Foster a culture of accountability, agility, and innovation
