Join Global Subsea Projects | Geological Research Analyst (Earth Sciences | Technical Reporting Focus)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Geological Research Analyst to support subsea infrastructure projects through desktop studies and geological interpretation. This role is ideal for Master's students or recent graduates with strong writing skills and an interest in earth sciences and infrastructure development. You will synthesise geological and environmental information into clear, structured technical reports to support project planning and execution.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct desktop geological and environmental studies (DTS) for subsea cable projects
  • Participate in site surveys, understanding physical terrain and geological hazards
  • Perform related research on the relevant marine and land sites that that surround project locations
  • Prepare detailed assessment reports and presentations that contain accurate punctuation, logical flows that translate technical findings into clear, structured reports and documentation, with detailed indexing
  • Review and interpret geological, geophysical, and environmental datasets
  • Assist commercial and permitting teams with technical inputs for planning and execution
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies, when required
  • Participate in domestic and international travel as required
  • Undertake job rotations to gain exposure across project and operational functions

What you should have:

  • Master's students or Bachelor's degree graduates in Geology, Earth Sciences, Geoscience, or related fields are welcome
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong technical report writing and documentation skills are essential
  • Good understanding or interest in geological and environmental interpretation
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to synthesise complex technical data into clear written outputs
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Willingness to travel and participate in rotational assignments
  • Interest in infrastructure, marine geology, or subsea projects is an advantage

Salary: RM 6000 – RM 8000
