Job Summary:
On behalf of client, we are seeking
experienced Geotechnical Consultants to support offshore soil investigation campaigns. The role includes both
technical advisory and field supervision, ensuring data quality, HSE compliance, and smooth coordination between all parties involved. You will work closely with contractors, facilities teams, and COMPANY representatives throughout planning, execution, and reporting stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical advice and supervision during geotechnical soil investigation operations.
- Review constraints and propose suitable methods, systems, and acquisition parameters.
- Lead or participate in pre-mobilization inspections and readiness reviews.
- Supervise offshore activities such as:
- Soil sampling
- Cone Penetration Testing (CPT)
- Pilot hole drilling
- Monitor sample quality, ensure correct labeling and handling for lab testing.
- Perform real-time quality checks on CPT and borehole logs.
- Review and approve data acquired before processing.
- Liaise with relevant departments (facilities, HSE, marine) for planning, permits, and safety.
- Support HSE initiatives and documentation (JHA, CRA, UAUC, etc.).
- Provide training and briefings to COMPANY personnel.
- Prepare final technical and operational reports after campaign completion.
Reporting:
Submit a detailed operational report within 2 weeks post-campaign covering:
- Operational summary
- Equipment and data quality review
- HSE performance
- Recommendations and lessons learned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
- 10–12 years of experience in geotechnical work
- Minimum 5–7 offshore projects in a similar capacity
