Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Shared Services Accountant to join our regional Finance Shared Services team. This role will primarily responsible the general ledger operations for China legal entities, as well as selected entities across other countries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting a broad range of accounting activities.
In addition to general ledger responsibilities, the role will also provide Accounts Payable (AP) support across multiple APAC entities, contributing to efficient and compliant invoice processing and payment operations. Key Responsibilities
General Ledger Support (Primary Focus)
- Responsible for all Record to Report month end closing, year end closing activities and reporting for entities including but not limited to the journals preparation, intercompany transactions reconciliations, balance sheet review, transaction proposal and processing, process controlling, analysis and reconciliations.
- Maintenance, accounting and management of fixed assets
- Work closely with various stakeholders, business owners, SSC team, Finance BPs etc.
- Preparation of reports & analysis of expenses.
- Provide support for and management of working capital inventory, trade receivables and trade payables
- Provide support for budget and 5-year aspirations activities
- Recommend, develop, and implement solutions for continuous improvements across the team and markets.
- Prepare financial reports and data provided to the bureau of statistics.
Account Payable (Secondary scope)
- Audit vendor invoices and employee expense claims; process transactions accurately in SAP.
- Monitor invoice lifecycle and resolve issues (e.g., unmatched PO/invoice, missing GR, pending approvals).
- Perform inter-company and market-related reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze AP aging reports; coordinate with APAC local finance teams to resolve outstanding items.
General & Cross-Functional
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding AP and GL.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements.
- Provide documentation support for internal and external audits.
- Participate in automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related majors
- Post graduate professional qualifications e.g. ACCA/CIMA is preferred
- Knowledge in China GAAP and IFRS accounting standards including tax accounting is preferred but not essential
- Minimum 3 years working experiences in GL accounting field for multinational companies
- Experience in distribution or manufacturing industries is advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- SAP experience is essential
