Description
- Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of GL accounts, including balance sheet accounts, cash, accruals, intercompany, and fixed assets.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances, ensuring issues are addressed and documented in line with internal controls.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, Payroll, Treasury, etc.) to ensure accurate postings and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP as applicable) and company policies.
Profile
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years working experience in accounting or GL reconciliation roles (experience in shared service centers or MNCs preferred).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas).
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving mindset.
- Good communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
