Job Opportunity: GL Specialist (12-Month Contract) Leading Global F&B Brand Shared Services

Are you a finance professional with a knack for multi-outlet accounting A rapidly expanding global leader in the F&B industry is looking for a meticulous GL Specialist to join their finance team on a 12-month contract basis, with an opportunity to be converted as permanent employee.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial integrity of numerous retail outlets, focusing on inventory accuracy and robust financial reporting.

The Role: Your Impact

As a GL Specialist, you will act as the financial custodian for assigned retail outlets. Your primary mission is to manage the end-to-end General Ledger process, from daily transaction oversight to complex month-end closings. This is new Shared Services setup with project opportunities for Finance Transformation, Process Improvement, and System Migration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Outlet Financial Management: Manage GL entries, review daily sales, and oversee outlet-specific expenses (rent, utilities, and petty cash) to ensure precise accruals.
  • Month-End Excellence: Drive the closing process through journal entries and adjustments, culminating in the preparation of outlet-level P&L reports and variance analysis.
  • Inventory Accounting & COGS Oversight: Perform monthly inventory reconciliation, reconcile monthly stock counts against financial records, analyze COGS, and investigate wastage or shrinkage trends alongside the Supply Chain team.
  • Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure adherence to internal SOPs, support audit preparations, and identify opportunities to streamline outlet-level accounting workflows.

Who We Are Looking For

We need a detail-oriented analyst who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of relevant experience, specifically within F&B, Retail, or multi-outlet sectors.
  • Technical Skills: Strong command of GL accounting and inventory management. You should be an Excel power user (PivotTables, VLOOKUPs).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local tax regulations (SST/GST/VAT).
  • Attributes: Analytical, independent, and capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams like Operations and Supply Chain.

The Role: AP Specialist (Korean Speaker)

As an AP Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for vendor management and payment cycles for our Korean operations. You will ensure that all regional liabilities are recorded accurately and settled on time while maintaining strict internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full Cycle AP Management: Process high-volume invoices, verify purchase orders (PO), and ensure accurate coding to the General Ledger.
  • Korean Market Liaison: Communicate fluently in Korean and English with vendors and internal stakeholders in South Korea to resolve payment discrepancies and statement reconciliations.
  • Payment Execution: Prepare and execute weekly/monthly payment runs, managing wire transfers and corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Expense Management: Review and process employee travel and business expense claims in accordance with company policy.
  • Tax & Compliance: Assist with withholding tax (WHT) requirements and ensure all filings comply with Korean fiscal regulations.
  • Month-End Support: Reconcile AP aging reports and assist the wider finance team with month-end closing activities.

Requirements:

  • Language Skills:Professional fluency in Korean (written and spoken) is mandatory to support the South Korean market.
  • Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience in Accounts Payable or P2P (Procure-to-Pay), ideally within a Shared Service Center (SSC) or a multi-national retail/F&B environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth setting.
