Job Title: Global Billing Specialist

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid - 3 days per week in the office)

Type: Full-time, permanent

About the role:


We are hiring a Global Billing Specialist to join our Finance team in Kuala Lumpur, supporting accurate, timely, and compliant billing activities across multiple divisions and countries.

This role plays a critical part in delivering a high-quality billing experience for both internal stakeholders and external clients. You'll work across multiple systems (including SAP), manage invoice portals and queries, and collaborate closely with teams across the Order to Cash function to ensure billing accuracy, compliance, and strong customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and complete client and intercompany invoices, ensuring compliance with contract terms, pricing, and internal SLAs.
  • Review billing outputs prior to submission to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Respond promptly to billing queries, investigating discrepancies, identifying root causes, and implementing agreed resolutions.
  • Upload and manage invoices across multiple client and third-party portals.
  • Engage regularly with internal and external stakeholders, managing invoicing correspondence professionally and efficiently.
  • Extract, interpret, and reconcile data from multiple systems to support accurate invoicing and reporting.
  • Enter billing data into SAP, ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained for audit and reporting purposes.
  • Produce monthly billing reports and support audit, month-end, and year-end processes.
  • Meet individual and team KPIs relating to accuracy, timeliness, query resolution, and system usage.
  • Support wider finance team activities, including process improvements and ad-hoc tasks as required.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

  • 3-4 years experience in billing or accounts receivable, ideally within a shared services or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex billing cycles using data from multiple systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP platform.
  • Intermediate Excel skills and solid Microsoft Office capability.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and accuracy under pressure.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in business-level English.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A customer-focused, proactive, and collaborative approach to work.
