Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially minded and execution‑focused Paper Product Manager to lead the end‑to‑end management of our paper product portfolio, with a strong emphasis on cut size paper across global and regional markets. This role is responsible for driving product strategy, optimizing portfolio performance, and ensuring our paper solutions meet evolving customer, channel, and market requirements.
Working closely with mills, supply & demand teams, sales, and marketing across regions, the Paper Product Manager will shape product competitiveness, strengthen brand equity, and support sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management for assigned paper product categories (with focus on cut size)
- Conduct market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and customer insights analysis to identify growth opportunities, gaps, and risks
- Translate customer, channel, and regulatory requirements into clear product specifications, grades, formats, and value propositions
- Collaborate closely with mill teams, supply chain and planning team to ensure consistent product production, quality, availability, and cost competitiveness
- Lead new product development, portfolio optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Drive product launches and renovations, including positioning, pricing guidance, and go‑to‑market execution
- Ensure strong alignment with global and regional sales teams by providing product training, sales tools, and technical support
- Build and strengthen product brand equity across markets, supporting distribution partners and key customers
- Align stakeholders across regions to ensure consistency in product messaging, standards, and execution
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Paper Science, or a related discipline (MBA is an advantage)
- 5–8+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or commercial roles within paper, packaging, or adjacent industries
- Strong understanding of paper products, particularly cut size paper, including specifications, quality parameters, and end‑use applications
- Proven ability to manage products in competitive, margin‑sensitive markets
- Experience working with mills, printers, converters, or supply chain functions is highly desirable
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and data‑driven decision‑making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities across functions and geographies
- Ability to balance strategic portfolio thinking with hands‑on execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing paper products across multiple countries or regions
- Strong background in B2B and/or B2C business model, channel management and product development
- Exposure to digital marketing, e‑commerce, or digital activation within the paper or stationery category is an advantage
- Understanding of diverse customer segments across APAC and global markets (corporate, education, print, retail, and wholesale)
