Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and committed individual with a strong interest in the field of sensors and biosensors. Candidates should possess good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

The appointed MSc Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) will receive a monthly stipend of RM1800 (excluding tuition fees).

The research work will be conducted at the Collaborative Microelectronic Design Excellence Centre (CEDEC), Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Research Project: Microfluidic-Assisted Aptasensor Systems for the Detection of Tetracycline

Applications are invited for a Graduate Research Assistant (GRA) to participate in a project on the development and study of microfluidic platforms for biosensor systems. The project aims to investigate the integration of microfluidic technologies with biosensors for advanced applications in diagnostics, healthcare monitoring, and environmental detection.

Responsibilities

  • Design, development, and characterization of a microfluidic platform
  • Perform measurement and data collection of the biosensor system
  • Analyze and interpret results
  • Writing research paper

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering/Physics or related field
  • CGPA 2.75 (local candidate) and CGPA 3.00 (International candidate)
  • For international students: A minimum of Band 5 for IELTS; or minimum of Band 4 for Malaysian University English Test (MUET)
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a semiconductor background.
  • Open to Malaysian and International student
  • Experience in material characterization & electrochemical characterization is preferred, but not compulsory.
