As part of our growing aviation operations division, we are seeking dedicated, disciplined, and operationally driven professionals to join our operational team at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

We are looking for suitable candidates to support and oversee Ground Service Equipment (GSE) inspection and operational activities while ensuring compliance, safety, and operational excellence within the airside environment.

Job Description

The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Inspector / Supervisor is responsible for supporting and overseeing daily operational activities, compliance monitoring, and inspection coordination relating to Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and vehicles at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

The role includes ensuring that all GSE inspection activities, operational practices, and equipment conditions are carried out in compliance with airport operational standards, safety regulations, and company requirements while supporting smooth and efficient airside operations.

The successful candidates shall possess good operational coordination, compliance monitoring, communication, and reporting capabilities, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced airport operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

1) Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Management & Operations

  • Conduct and coordinate routine inspections, monitoring, and operational checks on Ground Service Equipment (GSE) and operational vehicles including, but not limited to: Tow Tractors, Belt Loaders, Passenger Stairs, Ground Power Units (GPU), Air Conditioning Units (ACU), Lavatory Trucks, Cargo Loaders and other related airport support vehicles
  • Identify serviceable and unserviceable equipment and ensure equipment conditions and operational status are properly monitored and documented.
  • Monitor equipment condition, operational readiness, and serviceability status to ensure smooth airport operations.
  • Ensure all equipment and operational activities comply with airport operational standards, safety requirements, regulatory guidelines, and company procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring inspection validity, operational permits, compliance records, and related documentation requirements.
  • Assist in equipment audits, permit renewals, operational coordination, and compliance-related activities.
  • Attend, support or provide operational briefings, toolbox meetings, and safety meetings as required.

2) Reporting & Documentation Capability

  • Possess the ability to prepare, review, and maintain proper operational, inspection, and compliance reports with high accuracy, professionalism, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure all documentation, records, and operational information are properly managed and maintained for operational, compliance, and audit purposes.

3) Operational Supervision & Team Coordination

  • Supervise, support, and coordinate the daily operational activities of the GSE Inspection team.
  • Assist in manpower deployment, attendance monitoring, duty roster coordination, and assignment of operational tasks.
  • Prepare and manage duty rosters to ensure staff are informed of their working and off days while ensuring adherence to assigned schedules.
  • Lead, guide, and monitor the performance, discipline, attendance, and operational conduct of the GSE Inspection team.
  • Assist in training, competency development, and operational guidance for operational personnel.

4) Compliance & Stakeholder Management

  • Ensure compliance with MAHB, AVSEC, DOSH/JKKP, CAAM, airport operational requirements, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Liaise professionally with airport personnel, operational stakeholders, contractors, and relevant authorities regarding operational and compliance matters.
  • Support Management in maintaining operational efficiency, compliance standards, and service delivery within the airside operational environment.

Requirements

1) Educational Qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Airport Operations, Technical Management, or related field, or equivalent qualification.
  • Fresh graduates with a strong willingness to learn and grow are encouraged to apply.

2) Experience

  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Experience working within airport operational environments or airside operations in aviation operations, airport operations, GSE operations, compliance monitoring, or related field. will be an added advantage.
  • Experience managing or coordinating GSE inspection activities is highly preferred.

3) Key Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to plan independently to ensure daily, weekly and monthly goals to meet operational deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to prepare and review operational and compliance reports.
  • Possess valid driving license (D / GDL license). 
  • Possess good disciplinary and attendance record.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain airport security passes and operational clearances.

Working Hours

  • 5 working days per week
  • 2 off days per week
  • Working hours (9 am to 9pm, inclusive of few break hours)
  • Candidate must be willing to work on shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Salary

RM 2500 – RM 3500 (negotiable)
