You will be responsible for managing core finance and accounting functions, including monthly reporting, budgeting, and fund management. Your role involves preparing financial statements, handling tax and regulatory submissions, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. You'll also coordinate with auditors, bankers, and government bodies, maintain financial systems and documentation, and support various ad-hoc financial tasks.
Job Description:
Prepare monthly full set management accounts, journal entries in SAP, and bank reconciliations for non-operating Malaysian entities.
Preparation of monthly consolidation accounts and Group reporting report.
Develop forecasts and budgets for the Annual Operating Plan, and monitor weekly funds, payments, and monthly placements
Process and review payments, maintain borrowings listings, and arrange fund allocations
Prepare statutory financial statements, compile audited financials for MBRS submission, and support audit reviews
Liaise with auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies for audit confirmations and financial reporting
Handle tax-related matters including Form E, Country-by-Country Reporting, Capital Gains Tax documentation, and liaise with tax agents
Submit quarterly and annual reports to the Department of Statistics and Bank Negara Malaysia
Manage online banking subscriptions, act as system administrator, and prepare KYC documentation
Perform ad-hoc financial and analytical tasks as required
Job Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional membership (e.g., MICPA, ACCA, CIMA) may be an advantage.
8-10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial legislation.
Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g., SAP system).
Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer literacy, especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and accounting systems (SAP system).
Willingness to stay updated on latest accounting standards and regulations.
