12 months Contract | Regional programme, initial market implementation
We are hiring a Change Manager for a multi-market transformation of new business and underwriting operations at an international financial services group.
You will own end-to-end business change for the programme: strategy, readiness, adoption, and embedding. The first implementation wave is in a key Southeast Asian market, with the approach later reused across other markets in the region and beyond.
You will report to the Regional Programme Lead and work with business, underwriting, operations, technology, data, learning, and communications teams.
Key responsibilities
- Build and run an integrated change plan covering stakeholder engagement, impact assessment, communications, training, readiness, adoption, and reinforcement.
- Assess the impact of new underwriting processes, digital / AI-enabled capabilities, roles, controls, and ways of working, then turn that into practical readiness plans for the business.
- Align senior leaders, underwriters, operations, technology teams, and change champions on the vision, outcomes, ownership, and decisions needed.
- Design and coordinate communications, training, demos, toolkits, and user support so impacted teams can adopt the new process with confidence.
- Define readiness criteria, track actions and dependencies, and support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and handover to BAU.
- Spot adoption risks early and drive mitigation with the right owners.
- Set simple adoption measures and feedback loops — usage, user experience, process compliance, and business outcomes — and feed lessons learned into the rollout playbook for later markets.
Requirements
- 8+ years in change management, business transformation, or organisational change, ideally in financial services. Life insurance is strongly preferred.
- Evidence of taking a digital, operational, or technology-enabled transformation from design through implementation and into BAU adoption.
- Solid grasp of life insurance operations. New business, underwriting transformation, automated rules, workflow, or AI-enabled operations experience is a clear plus.
- Practical use of structured change tools: stakeholder analysis, impact assessment, communications, training, readiness, adoption, and benefits tracking. Prosci or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience working across regional and local teams. Southeast Asia exposure, especially Malaysia, is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and senior stakeholder skills. Able to simplify complex change, handle resistance constructively, and work at pace across functions.
