Roles Summary / Purpose:

The Group Finance Director provides strategic financial leadership across the organization, driving profitability, sustainable growth, and strong governance. This role oversees financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, ensuring accurate reporting and full compliance with IFRS/GAAP and statutory requirements. The director manages cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships while leading ERP/finance system implementation and digital transformation initiatives. They identify and mitigate financial and operational risks, establish robust internal controls, and partner with business leaders to support strategic decisions, investments, and expansion. Additionally, the role includes leading and developing the finance team to build capability, efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities :

1. Strategic Financial Leadership

• Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with overall business goals.

• Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, investment, and risk management.

• Drive profitability, cost efficiency, and sustainable growth through sound financial management.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling.

• Monitor financial performance against key metrics and identify improvement areas.

• Provide insights into business drivers, margin trends, and cost structures to guide decision-making.

3. Accounting, Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements in line with IFRS/GAAP.

• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

• Maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness, and compliance with taxation and statutory requirements.

• Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities.

4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

• Manage cash flow, liquidity,

and working capital to ensure operational efficiency.

• Manage debt, banking, and investment relationships.

• Oversee treasury operations and foreign exchange exposure where applicable.

5. ERP & Finance System Implementation

• Lead the implementation or upgrade of finance systems (ERP).

• Define system requirements, workflows, and data structures in alignment with business processes.

• Collaborate with IT and consultants to ensure smooth system integration and user adoption.

• Drive digital transformation initiatives in finance—automation, data analytics, and process optimization.

• Ensure system controls and data governance standards are embedded within the ERP environment.

6. Risk Management & Governance

• Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.

• Establish and monitor internal control frameworks and governance policies.

• Ensure business continuity and adherence to corporate governance standards.

7. Business Partnering

• Partner with business unit leaders to support strategic and operational decisions.

• Provide financial insights for pricing, product mix, capital expenditure, and business expansion.

• Evaluate ROI and financial feasibility for projects, M&A, and new market entry.

8. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead and mentor the finance team to build capability and performance.

• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

• Promote cross-functional collaboration and professional development.

Requirements:

• Min. Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification.

• Over 10 years of financial management experience preferably in the FMCG industry, with solid expertise in financial accounting, consolidation, and management reporting.

• Proficient in ERP systems (such as SAP, Odoo, and other large-scale platforms), with hands-on experience in system implementation or IT department management.

• Proven ability to establish compliance frameworks and internal control systems from the ground up.

• Prior working experience in Southeast Asian countries (e.g., Vietnam, Thailand) is preferred.

• Fluent in both English and Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers.

• Wiling to travel when required.
