Job Description

About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing, technology-led business with international operations and a growing digital services component. As the business continues to scale, the finance function is strengthening its group reporting, controls, systems and process capabilities.

This is a hands-on Group Finance Manager role suited to a finance professional who is technically strong, commercially aware, and progressive in how technology can improve finance operations. The successful candidate will support multi-entity finance operations across the group, working closely with the Finance Director on reporting, consolidation, compliance, cash management, budgeting and finance process improvement.

This is not a purely traditional finance role. The company is looking for a finance professional who is already actively using, experimenting with, or championing technology, automation and AI in their work. The successful candidate should be able to identify practical use cases for AI in finance — such as reporting, reconciliations, variance analysis, KPI tracking, documentation, workflow improvement and controls — while applying sound judgement around accuracy, confidentiality, data quality and financial governance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support group reporting and consolidation across multiple entities.
  • Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances and support intercompany arrangements.
  • Own month-end close activities for assigned entities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support statutory financial statements, audit readiness and external audit coordination.
  • Assist with tax, GST, corporate secretarial, transfer pricing and other compliance matters.
  • Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards and analysis for internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor group cash positions and support cash flow reporting, banking administration and intercompany payments.
  • Maintain data integrity across ERP and finance systems, including chart of accounts, entity structures and financial data flows.
  • Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, automate recurring work and strengthen controls.
  • Actively identify and champion practical use cases for automation and AI across finance processes, including reporting, reconciliations, variance analysis, KPI tracking, documentation, workflow improvement and controls.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent.
  • CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
  • Around 7–10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
  • Prior exposure to multi-entity, regional or group finance environments.
  • Strong grounding in financial reporting, month-end close, statutory audit and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS, consolidation accounting and intercompany treatment.
  • Familiarity with transfer pricing and intercompany service arrangements.
  • Hands-on ERP experience, ideally NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent.
  • Strong Excel and data-handling skills.
  • Experience in technology, software, digital services, subscription, consumer technology or high-growth environments would be advantageous.
  • Exposure to deferred revenue, recurring revenue, subscription billing or related revenue recognition matters would be a strong plus.
  • Hands-on use of automation and/or AI tools in finance work, with the ability to champion practical adoption across the function.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where processes, systems and reporting structures are still being improved.

Ideal Profile

This role will suit someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented and able to operate independently, while still partnering effectively with stakeholders across the business.

The company will particularly value candidates who are:

  • Comfortable working in a growth-stage or evolving environment.
  • Strong in execution, but able to think commercially.
  • Systems-savvy and curious about automation.
  • Proactive in adopting and advocating for AI and automation, while remaining disciplined around controls, confidentiality and data quality.
  • Able to balance speed, accuracy and governance.
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders while remaining hands-on.

Why Apply

This is an opportunity to join a growing international technology-led business with a distinctive product and strong innovation culture. The role offers broad exposure across group finance, regional operations, systems, controls and finance transformation.

It is well-suited for someone who wants to move beyond a conventional finance role and contribute to building a more scalable, data-driven and technology-enabled finance function.
