Job Description

1. Group Consolidation

  • Lead the preparation and consolidation of group financial statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and relevant local accounting standards.

  • Oversee quarterly and annual closing activities across multiple subsidiaries and business entities.

  • Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, providing clear financial insights to management.

  • Manage intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Drive the group's budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes, including support for M&A and corporate finance initiatives.

  • Provide strategic financial insights through cost-benefit analyses, scenario modelling, and performance tracking.

  • Monitor financial KPIs and recommend actions to address performance gaps.

3. Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements across all operating jurisdictions.

  • Prepare and present board-level financial reports, highlighting key risks and opportunities.

  • Coordinate and manage external audit processes to ensure timely completion.

4. Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering skill development and performance excellence.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the finance function.

Requirements

Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a senior financial management or controller role.
  • Proven experience in group financial consolidation, particularly in a multi-entity environment.
  • Demonstrable experience with ERP and financial systems implementation. Familiarity with systems like SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with system upgrades and process automation is desirable.
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills and financial modelling expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with financial planning software and data visualisation tools.
