Job Description

Job Overview:

You will be responsible for leading the Group's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function across the organisation and its subsidiaries, ensuring effective risk governance, strategic oversight, and compliance with established risk management standards. The role partners with the Board, senior management, and business leaders to embed a strong risk culture, enhance organisational resilience, and support sustainable business growth through proactive risk management and informed decision-making.

Your work life:

  • Lead the Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework across multiple business units and subsidiaries, ensuring effective identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of strategic, operational, financial, technology, and compliance risks.
  • Provide independent risk insights and quarterly risk reporting to the Board of Directors, Risk Management Steering Committee, and senior leadership to support governance oversight and strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain the Group Risk Appetite Statement, risk appetite thresholds, impact assessment methodologies, and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide risk assessments, risk workshops, and divisional risk profiling exercises to strengthen risk ownership and escalation processes.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and monitoring of emerging risks, including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, ESG/sustainability, geopolitical, and regulatory developments.
  • Partner with Internal Audit, Compliance, Legal, and external assurance providers to promote an integrated Three Lines of Defence model.
  • Monitor risk treatment plans and ensure timely mitigation of key enterprise risks.
  • Drive continuous enhancement of risk governance practices, reporting frameworks, and risk management tools.
  • Promote a strong risk-aware culture through stakeholder engagement, communication, training, and capability-building initiatives across the organisation.
  • Lead and develop the risk management team, fostering high performance, professional growth, and effective stakeholder collaboration.

To be considered, you'll need:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience:
  • Preferably at least 15 years of progressive experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Internal Audit, Governance, Compliance, or related assurance functions, including leadership experience within large and complex organisations.
  • Experience in the telecommunications industry is an advantage, though not essential.
  • Proven experience engaging with Boards of Directors, Risk and Audit Committees, and senior management on risk and governance matters.
  • Experience developing risk appetite frameworks, risk registers, KRIs, impact assessment methodologies, and governance reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, facilitate risk discussions, and translate complex risk concepts into practical business solutions.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management frameworks, including ISO 31000 and COSO.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and assurance practices.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Professional certifications such as ACCA, CIA, CRMA, CISA, ISO31000 Lead Risk Manager or equivalent are highly desirable.
