APJ Growth Engine — Compute Engine Account Executive
Our Company
Teradata Autonomous Knowledge Platform activates enterprise intelligence by unifying data, knowledge, and business context to achieve tangible outcomes. With Teradata, organizations can provide agents with full enterprise context for impact when it matters. Our solution lets businesses connect and scale on premises, in the cloud, or through a hybrid approach. Teradata delivers real business value with AI.
The role
Teradata is building an APJ Growth Engine — a focused new business team with a clear mandate: acquire new enterprise customers and build a repeatable, outcome-driven GTM motion across Asia Pacific Japan.
As a New Logo Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle — from first contact through to close and early workload activation. This is not a farming role. It is a hunting role designed for sellers who thrive in new territory, move with urgency, and close complex deals by leading with business outcomes.
You will be one of the first members of this team. What you build here will shape how Teradata sells in APJ and beyond.
What You Will Do
- Build and manage your own pipeline across targeted enterprise accounts in your territory
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, value framing, technical demonstration, commercial negotiation, and close
- Qualify and progress opportunities with a focus on business outcome and consumption fit — not just deal size
- Drive early workload activation post-close to secure retention and expansion
- Partner with Solution Architects to deliver compelling, technically grounded demonstrations
- Contribute to the APJ Growth Engine playbook — documenting what works so the motion scales
What Success Looks Like
- New logo acquisition within your targeted territory
- Speed to workload activation post-close
- Deal quality: outcome-aligned, consumption-ready customers
- Pipeline health: coverage ratio, stage progression, and forecast accuracy
- Contribution to a scalable, repeatable GTM playbook
Who You Will Work With
You will be part of a dedicated New Logo team with direct access to Customer Solution Architects, Sales Leadership and Sales Operations. This team has executive sponsorship and is a strategic investment — you will have visibility and support at the highest level.
What We Are Looking For
Experience:
- Proven track record in B2B software, data, cloud, or analytics sales — with a preference for new logo hunters
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with technical buyers
- Comfortable running pilots, proof-of-concepts, and technical demonstrations
- Exposure to early-stage GTM motions or greenfield territory development is a strong advantage
Capabilities:
- Independent pipeline generation — you do not wait for inbound
- Strong discovery skills: the ability to connect business pain to technical outcomes
- Commercial discipline: you qualify hard, close with precision, and protect deal quality
- Technical fluency in data and AI — enough to earn credibility in the room and lead a demonstration
- Adaptability: you operate well with ambiguity, build as you go, and move fast
Mindset:
- Hunter mentality — hungry, persistent, and energised by new business
- Outcome-led seller — you lead with business value, not product features
- Builder — you want to be part of something being created, not just executing a mature playbook
Why this role
This is a rare opportunity to join a high-visibility team at a pivotal moment in Teradata's go-to-market evolution. You will work on a focused, differentiated offering — one that enterprise and mid-market customers in financial services, manufacturing, retail, and the public sector are actively trying to solve for. You will have executive air cover, a collaborative team around you, and the autonomy to build and own your territory.
If you are a seller who wants to be known for what you built, not just what you inherited, this is the role.
