Job Description

Role Overview:

WorldFirst is expanding into Malaysia and we're looking for a resourceful marketer who can build our marketing acquisition engine and content engine. You will be at the forefront to drive brand awareness, local content creation and growth marketing. This hands-on role will be instrumental in ensuring our marketing activities accelerates overall business growth and amplify our brand in Malaysia. You'll be based in Malaysia and report directly to the Country Manager of Malaysia. As part of a global brand, you will have the opportunity to work with global teams across Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia and United Kingdom.

Job responsibilities:

Brand marketing

  • Creatively develop a brand strategy with an effective use of limited budget available
  • Identify and implement on key brand placements in the local market
  • Use visual storytelling and localize brand messaging across suitable marketing channels to build customer trust
  • Drive viral spread and organic growth through branded content in local communities

Content marketing

  • Develop a local content strategy to drive brand impressions and web traffic
  • Create localized content across all our owned channels that resonates with our target audience
  • Work with our SEO team to implement multiple high-intent SEO content
  • Collaborate with social media team and leverage on third-party channels to amplify our social presence

Data-driven Optimisation & Growth

  • Meet customers and partners to understand pain points and provide solution-driven campaigns to create customer value
  • Analyze and draw insights from ICPs in Malaysia market to make strategic commercial and marketing decisions
  • Identify and test channels to drive acquisition, optimization and user growth
  • Track, monitor and optimize conversion rates across channels and down the conversion funnel
  • Manage approved budget with the goal to lower cost per acquisition through marketing efforts
  • Own key brand and acquisition metrics – Brand search, ROI, new user conversion rate, new user growth rate

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Work with our global marketing channel specialist team to identify new channels, localise and optimize channel conversion for Malaysia market
  • Work with partnerships team to curate events end-to-end with the aim to drive conversion – supporting on content, marketing collaterals, branded merchandise, lead generation, lifecycle marketing, campaign promotion and more
  • Be the local marketing expert to provide local market insights and identify opportunities to strengthen WorldFirst's brand positioning, campaign relevance and local content appeal to our Malaysia target audience

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in Brand Strategy, Content marketing, or a related field
  • A track record of leading brand campaigns and marketing initiatives that have proven results in impressions growth, acquisition achievements or optimisation outcomes.
  • Experience with influencer partnerships, community management and stakeholder engagement is a plus
  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written English, and fluent in one other language (Chinese or Bahasa Melayu) will be an added advantage
  • Proactive, results-oriented, with project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Thinking Customer first, and empathetic towards the customers pain points and challenges
  • Thrive in a fast-pace, high-growth working environment and adaptable to change
  • Some understanding of the SME and local Malaysian business community in Malaysia
