Role Description The Guest Service Agent is a full-time, on-site role based at Sleeping Lion Suites in Bukit Bintang. In this position, the team member will welcome and check in guests, manage reservations, handle check-outs, and assist with room assignments and special requests. The role includes responding to guest inquiries in person, by phone, and via digital channels, providing information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation options. The Guest Service Agent will process payments, maintain accurate records in the property management system, and coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure rooms and services meet guest expectations. Daily responsibilities also involve resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally, promoting hotel amenities and offers, and upholding brand standards for service, appearance, and communication.
Qualifications
  • Strong customer service and hospitality skills, with the ability to create welcoming, respectful, and inclusive guest experiences.
  • Effective communication skills, including clear spoken and written English; additional language abilities (such as Malay, Mandarin, or other languages) are an advantage.
  • Competence in basic computer use and hotel or property management systems, with attention to accuracy in data entry and payment processing.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced hotel environment.
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration across departments.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations.
  • Prior experience in front office, guest services, or related hospitality roles is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training may be provided.
  • Minimum educational background of high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or tourism-related qualifications are a plus.
