Role: Guest Service Host

Working Location: Menara Merdeka Maybank (Previously known as Merdeka 118), Kuala Lumpur
Working Day/Hours: 5 days working, 2 off days, 9.00 AM - 6.00pm, 12.00pm - 9.00pm, 2.00pm - 11.00pm
Salary: Basic RM 2,000 to RM 3,000 (Based on experience + skills) + statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical insurance
Job Purpose / Summary:
The Guest Services Host is responsible for delivering welcoming, professional and attentive frontline service to support a smooth and enjoyable Guest journey. Working under the guidance of the Operations Supervisor, the role supports daily operations across greeting points, ticketing & information desks, ticketing kiosks, turnstiles, walkthrough areas and VIP experiences.
The Guest Services Host assists Guests with enquiries, wayfinding and entry processes while ensuring accurate information delivery, efficient access management and positive engagement throughout the visit.
As a key Guest-facing representative, the role contributes directly to creating strong first and lasting impressions while supporting safe, organized and service-focused operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome and assist Guests at assigned positions including Greet & Meet, Ticketing, Kiosk Assistance, Turnstiles and VIP Experience areas. Provide accurate Attraction information and wayfinding support.
Operate ticketing counters and self-service kiosks in accordance with SOPs, ensuring accurate ticket processing, validation and transaction handling.
Manage queue lines and Guest flow while supporting access control and capacity monitoring in coordination with Security and Operations teams.
Enforce Attraction safety rules and report hazards, incidents or suspicious behavior promptly to the Operations Supervisor.
Deliver personalized, end‑to‑end VIP services from arrival to departure. Serve as primary point of contact, anticipate needs, resolve issues discreetly, and maintain premium service standards.
Plan and coordinate VIP itineraries, schedules, access arrangements, priority entry, private tours, and exclusive viewing experiences. Liaise with Attraction Facilitators, Security, Ticketing, F&B, Retail and Facilities.
Handle Guest enquiries and minor complaints professionally and escalate complex matters when required.
Conduct opening and closing checks of assigned workstations and maintain cleanliness and presentation standards.
Qualifications / Requirement:
Required:
Secondary School Certificate (SPM) or equivalent qualification.
Minimum 1 year experience in customer service or frontline operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused mindset.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to follow SOP and operational instructions.
Situational awareness and calmness under pressure.
Preferred:
Diploma in Hospitality, Tourism, Business or Customer Service-related field.
Experience in hospitality, tourism, attractions or high-volume Guest environments.
POS or ticketing system experience.
Multilingual capability.
First Aid / Basic Safety Awareness certification.
School Certificate / N or O-Level, Diploma, ITC/NTC/Vocational
