About the Role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the Group Financial Reporting function at RHB Banking Group. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of Group financial and management reporting, in full compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the Group to support reporting to the Board, Bank Negara Malaysia and Bursa Malaysia, while upholding strong governance and financial discipline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of Group financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
- Oversee Group consolidation across all entities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial information
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and regulatory requirements
- Manage end-to-end financial closing processes and reporting timelines
- Review financial statements, disclosures and supporting schedules at Group level
- Collaborate with business units and internal stakeholders to ensure integrity and consistency of financial data
- Monitor developments in accounting standards and regulatory guidelines, and drive implementation where required
- Support external audits and regulatory reviews, ensuring timely and effective resolution of matters raised
- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks within the reporting function
- Drive continuous improvements in reporting processes, systems and workflows
- Lead and develop the Group Financial Reporting team
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, MIA or equivalent) is preferred
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, preferably within banking or financial services
- Strong knowledge of MFRS/IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements, including BNM guidelines
- Hands-on experience in Group consolidation and financial reporting processes
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Proven ability to manage reporting timelines and deliver under pressure
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and developing teams
