Position reports to: Head of Finance, Wholesale

Job Overview:

We are looking for a strategic finance and analytics leader to manage the Credit, Collection and Analytics function for the Wholesale Business. The role requires a strategic mindset with strong analytical capability, a passion for continuous improvement, and a commitment to customer service excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall credit strategy, policy, and governance framework to ensure alignment with the company's risk appetite and business objectives.
  • Oversee the credit assessment and approval process for new and existing customers, ensuring sound risk evaluation and compliance with internal policies.
  • Drive the collection strategy and performance management, setting clear KPIs and ensuring effective tracking of DSO and cash collection targets.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Credit and Collection teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on proactive risk management and customer engagement.
  • Oversee the resolution of disputes, account reconciliation and overdue accounts, ensuring sound commercial decisions that protect the company's financial interests.
  • Review and recommend credit and payment terms in customer agreements to mitigate credit exposure.
  • Utilize data and analytics to identify credit trends, optimize collection effectiveness, and provide actionable insights to management.
  • Continuously enhance process efficiency, automation, and reporting to support scalability and improve operational outcomes that minimizes billing and collection issues.
  • Oversee bad debt recovery strategies to minimize provisions and write-offs.
  • Manage engagement with external collection agencies and legal counsel to drive effective recovery outcomes.
  • Monitor blacklisting processes to prevent future exposure and revenue leakage.
  • Oversee timely and accurate reporting of key credit and collection metrics, including DSO, ageing analysis, and collection performance.
  • Provide data-driven insights and analytics to senior management to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure ad hoc and periodic reports are delivered with high accuracy and actionable recommendations.
  • Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance productivity, accuracy, and efficiency across credit and collection operations for operational excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with billing, sales, and finance teams to streamline workflows and resolve systemic issues affecting collection performance.

Requirements:

Experience

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent professional qualifications of CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, etc
  • Minimum 5 years experience across Credit Management, Accounts Receivable Management and Data Analytics in a business to business environment
  • Proven experience in leading a team and stakeholder management
  • Strong business acumen and background in process improvement
  • Strategic thinking, with the ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, issues and solutions
