Yayasan Hasanah is seeking a passionate, strategic, and experienced leader to head our Environment Pillar.

As the Head of Environment, you will drive Hasanah's vision for sustainable conservation — shaping national discourse, building strong partnerships, and delivering measurable impact across Malaysia's environmental ecosystem.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic direction, planning, and execution of Hasanah's Environment programmes in line with our Theory of Change and Strategic Plans.
• Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including ministries, NGOs, business leaders, and international organisations.
• Steer advocacy efforts to influence environmental policy and drive systemic change.
• Provide technical expertise and oversight in programme management, evidence-based interventions, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring strong governance, sustainability, and impact outcomes.

Your leadership will be key in advancing Yayasan Hasanah's mission to create a greener, more resilient Malaysia.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources Management, Sustainability, Climate Change, or a related field (Second-Class Upper Honours minimum).
• Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the environmental sector, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
• Prior experience in the non-profit, social, or development sector is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws, policy frameworks, sustainability practices, and grant/programme management.
• Strategic leadership with proven ability to manage complex stakeholder ecosystems.
• Strong advocacy, negotiation, and partnership-building skills.
• Results-driven, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
• High integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to measurable impact.
