Head of Finance & Accounting
Position Summary
Lead and oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, compliance, funding, and internal controls. The role is responsible for ensuring strong financial governance, supporting business growth, and driving strategic financial planning aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage overall finance and accounting operations, including month-end/year-end closing, AP/AR, cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, fixed assets, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/local accounting standards, tax regulations, internal controls, and corporate governance requirements.
- Oversee liquidity planning, funding activities, banking relationships, and working capital management.
- Prepare accurate financial statements, management reports, and strategic presentations for leadership and Board stakeholders.
- Support audits, regulatory submissions, and Investor Relations (IR) activities where applicable.
- Drive financial planning, cost optimization, and business performance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead ERP/accounting system implementation and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders including auditors, financial institutions, regulators, and business teams.
- Coach and develop the finance and accounting team to strengthen operational effectiveness and leadership capability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 12 years of finance and accounting experience, with leadership experience in manufacturing, infrastructure, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, taxation, financial governance, and corporate finance.
- Experience in project financing, M&A, funding management
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent platforms.
- Strong command of English, both written and verbal communication.
