Head of Finance and Accounting

We're not big on JD's but we're super big ambition to build the best digital bank for kids. Why not We're Malaysia's 1st parental control payments platform regulated under the central bank's E-money regulations.

We're looking for some with strong accounting and finance background to lead the finance function, growing with it as we progress across South East Asia. For the right person, this could lead to a country level CFO role or regional CFO role.

Responsibilities

You will own and drive all the company accounting and finance needs on a daily, monthly closing, quarterly and annual basis.

As we're e-wallet, you will sign off on daily settlements and make sure payments are done correctly to merchants.

You will lead the function alongside a finance colleague and a team which may grow as we grow.

You'll be responsible to define, document processes for finance and make sure these are adhered too.

You will work closely with the founders on monthly reporting, investor reporting needs, business plan validation, cash flow projections etc.

You will prepare month-end financial reports, including subsidiary accounts and the Group's consolidated financial statements.

You will lead the year-end audit process, coordinate with external auditors, and ensure the company's financial statements are finalized and signed off within the agreed timeline.

You will liaise with the company's tax agents to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, including the accurate preparation and timely submission of tax returns.

You will coordinate with the company's secretary to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accurate maintenance of corporate records, timely submission of regulatory filings, preparation and documentation of board resolutions and members resolutions.

You will collaborate closely with the HR Manager to ensure the timely processing of employee claims, the prompt payment of salaries, and the on-time remittance of statutory deductions.

You are hands on at every aspect of the company's finance operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related field 5 - 7 years of relevant experience

Chartered Accountant / CFA/CPA

Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Detail-oriented and Super analytical. We're VC funded so expectations are high.

Strong audit, big 4 past experience is valuable and a plus!
