Job Purpose:
The Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in the property development industry by overseeing financial operations processes. This position requires a strong understanding of financial management and a deep knowledge of the property development sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Financial Management
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's property development projects.
- Create and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models for projects.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights to improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
2) Financial Reporting
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Provide financial analysis to support decision-making on property development projects.
- Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial resources.
3) Risk Management
- Identify financial risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure proper insurance coverage for property development projects.
- Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
4) Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, and mentor finance and sales administration staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Set clear goals and KPIs for the department and monitor progress.
5) Compliance and Regulation
- Stay updated on industry regulations, tax laws, and financial best practices.
- Ensure the company complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA, ACCA, MIA or CPA preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in the property development industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of financial software and tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in finance and sales administration, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial position.
