Financial Planning and Analysis
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation and management of the company's annual budget and forecasts. Ensure financial targets are aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
- Financial Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying variances from budgets and forecasts. Provide insights into cost control, profitability, and operational efficiency.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
- Scenario and Risk Analysis: Conduct financial scenario modeling and risk assessments to support strategic decision-making.
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger accounting process, ensuring accurate record-keeping and reconciliations for all accounts.
- Month-End and Year-End Closing: Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Financial Statements Preparation: Ensure the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
- Tax Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
Cash Flow Management
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Monitor cash flow to ensure that the organization has enough liquidity to meet its obligations and business needs.
- Working Capital Optimization: Manage working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory, to optimize cash flow.
- Treasury Functions: Manage the company's cash, banking relationships, and short-term borrowing requirements, ensuring sufficient funds are available for day-to-day operations.
Internal Controls and Compliance
- Financial Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policies. Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits.
- Regulatory Reporting: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, including tax laws, accounting standards, and industry-specific regulations. Keep up-to-date with changes in financial regulations.
Team Leadership and Management
- Supervising Accounting Team: Lead and manage the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and ensuring accurate and efficient financial reporting.
- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the team's skills and ensure knowledge of accounting practices, financial systems, and compliance.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
Financial Systems and Tools
- ERP and Accounting Software Management: Oversee the use and maintenance of financial systems and accounting software (SAP), ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
- Automation and Process Improvement: Implement automation solutions to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and reduce manual tasks.
Strategic Decision Support
- Business Strategy Support: Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management to guide business decisions, such as mergers, acquisitions, or capital investments.
- Cost Management: Lead initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities, optimize operating expenses, and improve profitability.
- Investment Analysis: Evaluate and analyze potential investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and financial risks to ensure sound financial decisions are made.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial Management.
- Having min 10 years of work experience, with min 3 years in leading a team in the finance or accounting field.
- Experience in FMCG.
- Having experience in preparing data for internal and external use.
- Open minded person
- Willing to work in Puchong area.
- Eligibility to work in Malaysia without visa sponsorship.
