About the Opportunity
Our client, a well-established public-listed manufacturing organisation, is looking for a senior HR leader to head the Human Resources function and drive the overall people strategy across its operations. This role will oversee the full spectrum of HR, Administration, Health & Safety, and Facilities Management, while working closely with senior leadership to support business growth, operational excellence, and workforce development.
This is a key leadership position reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for building strong HR frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a high-performing support function for the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the overall Human Resources strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational priorities
- Oversee the full spectrum of HR including talent development, performance management, employee relations, rewards, and HR operations
- Manage end-to-end Learning & Development initiatives, including leadership development, succession planning, and workforce capability building
- Drive performance management processes including goal setting, appraisals, and development planning across the organisation
- Provide strategic guidance to management on employee relations, disciplinary matters, and industrial relations issues
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, safety regulations, and statutory requirements across all operations
- Oversee Health, Safety & Environment practices and promote a strong workplace safety culture
- Lead HR operations including recruitment, policies, compensation & benefits, foreign worker management, and workforce planning
- Manage administration and facility management functions to ensure smooth daily operations across sites
- Strengthen employer branding and talent attraction strategies to support long-term workforce needs
- Partner with senior leadership on organisational design, change management, and business transformation initiatives
- Liaise with external authorities, auditors, and relevant government bodies when required
What We're Looking For
- Extensive experience in a senior HR leadership role within manufacturing, industrial, or plant-based environments
- Proven experience managing full-spectrum HR, including employee relations and industrial relations
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian labour law, safety regulations, and statutory compliance
- Experience overseeing multiple support functions such as Admin, Safety, or Facilities will be an advantage
- Ability to work closely with senior leadership and provide strategic HR direction
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Hands-on, practical, and able to operate in a fast-paced operational environment
