Position Overview
A well-established regional organisation is seeking a hands-on and commercially minded Head of Human Resources to lead Group HR and oversee Office Administration, Building Maintenance and IT Infrastructure.
The role partners closely with senior management, Heads of Department and key stakeholders, while also supporting the Group's AI Roadmap as a member of the AI Steering Committee. High mobility and regular travel are required.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources
Lead the Group HR function through the following key pillars:
HR Business Partnering
- Partner with senior management, Heads of Department and stakeholders on workforce, organisational and leadership matters.
- Support manpower planning, organisation design, talent management, employee engagement and change initiatives.
- Manage employee relations, disciplinary matters and other significant people-related issues.
Centres of Excellence
- Develop and implement Group HR strategies, policies and frameworks.
- Lead recruitment, succession planning, performance management, compensation, benefits and employee development.
- Prepare and manage annual manpower and HR departmental budgets.
- Drive HR digitalisation, workforce analytics and continuous process improvement.
Shared Services
- Oversee employee lifecycle administration, payroll inputs, benefits, leave, employee records and HR documentation.
- Ensure consistent, timely and compliant HR service delivery across regional operations.
- Strengthen service standards, process controls and employee self-service capabilities.
Office Administration and Building Maintenance
- Oversee office administration, facilities, security and workplace services.
- Ensure offices and buildings are safe, well maintained and operational.
- Manage related budgets, maintenance works, vendors and service providers.
IT Infrastructure
- Oversee Group IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, user support and business continuity.
- Manage IT budgets, service standards, vendors and infrastructure improvements.
- Support relevant AI and digital-transformation initiatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management or Psychology.
- At least 15 years of HR experience, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong experience across HR Business Partnering, Centres of Excellence and Shared Services.
- Regional or multi-location HR experience, with exposure to Administration and IT Infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment practices; regional exposure is preferred.
- Hands-on, highly mobile and willing to travel regularly.
- Strong stakeholder management, judgement, integrity and execution skills.
Language Requirements
Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Mandarin or another regional language would be an added advantage.
