Job description
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic & Curriculum Leadership
Lead the design and implementation of ICT and STEAM curriculum (Primary to Secondary)
Integrate technology across subjects to enhance teaching and learning
Align curriculum with international standards (e.g. IGCSE ICT, Computer Science)
Promote interdisciplinary STEAM learning
2. Teaching & Learning Excellence
Ensure high-quality ICT and STEAM teaching practices
Introduce innovative pedagogies (project-based learning, design thinking, coding)
Monitor student progress and achievement in ICT/STEAM subjects
3. Staff Development
Train and mentor teachers in ICT integration and STEAM approaches
Lead professional development workshops (e.g. coding tools, EdTech platforms)
Support non-ICT teachers in using digital tools effectively
4. Technology Strategy & Digital Transformation
Develop and implement the school's ICT strategic plan
Oversee the use of learning platforms (e.g. Google Classroom, Microsoft Teams)
Drive digital innovation in classrooms
Promote responsible digital citizenship among students
5. Infrastructure & Resource Management
Work with IT support to maintain hardware, software, and network systems
Plan budgets for ICT resources (devices, robotics kits, software licenses)
Ensure cybersecurity and data protection compliance
6. STEAM Programme Development
Lead initiatives such as robotics, coding clubs, and innovation labs
Organise STEAM events, competitions, and exhibitions
Encourage participation in international competitions (e.g. robotics, coding challenges)
7. Assessment & Data Analysis
Oversee assessments for ICT subjects (coursework, practical, theory)
Use data to improve student outcomes
Track digital competency development
Requirements:
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education, or related field
• Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent)
• Master's Degree is an advantage
Experience
• 5–8 years teaching ICT or related subjects
• Experience in leadership role (e.g. Head of Department, ICT Coordinator)
• Experience with STEAM or interdisciplinary programmes
Skills
• Strong knowledge of coding (e.g. Python, Scratch) and digital tools
• Leadership and team management skills
• Strategic thinking and innovation mindset
• Excellent communication in English
