Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To lead in the system design and implementation of new projects or on-going changes to business applications at agreed timelines.
  • To perform root cause analysis on incidents.
  • To perform analysis, assessment, and design on application new initiative.
  • Identify opportunities to improve system stability.
  • Ensure changes comply to internal & external regulatory requirements.
  • Execute System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Support in the evaluation and procurement of systems solutions to meet business requirements
  • Requirement Analysis - ensure completeness of the business & system requirements
  • Manage and monitor environment readiness
  • Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • Review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test scripts
  • Quality Control - Manage and control changes to the application objects to ensure system integrity
  • Implementation - Manage, coordinate and execute deployment activities
  • To lead in ensuring successful delivery of business project implementations and initiatives within budget, scope and timeline, where applicable
  • Guide, coach and supervise team members in ensuring all of the above are completed and executed successfully, where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance to the internal control and standards and also to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure SDLC documentation for new systems/enhancement is in order as per GIS guideline and procedure.
  • Execute corrective and remediation measures with the relevant parties relating to audit findings, ensuring actions are taken within deadline.
  • Support in the planning, managing and testing of DRP and BCP of business applications to achieve successful fail-over when the situation arises.
  • Be guided in the follow-up on commitments related to audit finding, ensuring actions are taken within deadline.
  • Be guided in managing and controlling changes to the application objects to ensure integrity of the system

Requirements:

  • Project management and implementation of digital banking applications
  • Experienced in managing stakeholders and vendors
  • Experienced in leading and managing troubleshooting sessions from application perspective
  • Able to coach and guide team members
  • Able to lead, manage and deliver multiple projects at any one time
  • Hands on experience in the management and systems support of digital banking applications
  • Min 5 years of experience in IT application systems
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or any related fields
  • Good working knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Good working knowledge of banking applications especially on digital banking related applications
  • Container platform working experience would have an added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong customer service culture and effective problem solving skills
  • Experience working with AIX, LINUX and Windows environment
  • Basic knowledge on Oracle, MySQL and DB2
