Head of Legal

Designation: Head of Legal, KAF Investment Bank

Responsibilities:

1. To lead a team of 4 members
2. Lead advisor to Chairman, Exco, Head of departments esp Business units for the Group
3. Drafting, vetting, and reviewing various legal documents, agreements, letters, researchers and other documents with legal implication.
4. Prepare and provide legal research and/or opinion for any legal queries from various departments.
5. Responsible in following up with external solicitors in matters which require solicitors input, advice or opinion.
6. To supervise management of record keeping and filing systems of legal files and legal documents.
7. Manages other office details in attending queries, preparing memorandum and attending to letters and documents addressed to the Department and attending meetings as and when required and to other routine matters.
8. Attending on all assigned tasks and matters and reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and/or Deputy Chief Executive Officer on matters which require the attention of the Head of Department/ Chief Executive Officer and/or Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Requirement:

1. Minimum 5 years in leadership / management role
2. Minimum 15 years experience in Corporate / banking or legal firm
3. Experience in Shariah law is a plus
