Role Overview

MultiBank Group is seeking a Head of Malaysia to lead its commercial operations and market strategy in the country. The Country Head will be responsible for driving market growth, developing sales and partner distribution channels, and ensuring in-country activities are aligned with internal standards and regulatory expectations. This role suits a senior financial services leader with a clear understanding of the Malaysian market and the ability to operate effectively within an international organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute MultiBank Group's growth strategy for Malaysia across retail, IB, affiliate, and institutional channels
• Build and manage local sales pipelines, client acquisition programs, and business development initiatives
• Identify and develop strategic partnerships and distribution relationships suited to the Malaysian market
• Collaborate with regional and global leadership on business priorities, country performance targets, and reporting
• Ensure all in-country activity aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Monitor market developments, competitor positioning, and evolving client needs within Malaysia and the wider Southeast Asian context
• Recruit and develop local team members as operational requirements expand
• Prepare regular performance updates and market intelligence for regional and global leadership
• Represent the company professionally across client engagements, partner relationships, and relevant local interactions

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience in financial services, brokerage, fintech, trading, banking, or payments
• Strong understanding of the Malaysian financial services market and its regulatory environment
• Demonstrated track record of driving commercial performance and managing sales or business development teams
• Experience with IB networks, affiliate programs, retail trading clients, or institutional relationships is preferred
• Familiarity with CFDs, FX, or financial markets products is an advantage
• Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience operating within regulated business environments
• English is required; Bahasa Malaysia is preferred
• Proficiency in Mandarin or another regional language is an advantage
