Our client is a fast-growing, well-funded consumer technology platform operating at scale across multiple markets in Asia. The business sits at the intersection of ecommerce, logistics, and ondemand services, serving millions of customers through a high-frequency digital platform.
As the company continues to strengthen its market position locally, they are appointing a Marketing Director to lead all customer growth and brand initiatives for the country.
Your new role
Reporting into senior regional leadership, you will take full ownership of the country's marketing strategy, execution, and performance. This is a pivotal leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and brand health.
You will work closely with crossfunctional stakeholders to translate business objectives into high-impact marketing initiatives, while ensuring strong governance over budget, performance, and ROI.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning customer growth outcomes, with a strong focus on MAU growth, retention, and customer experience
- Building and executing an integrated marketing strategy across CRM, digital, offline, partnerships, and brand channels
- Managing and optimising a significant marketing budget, with clear accountability for efficiency and impact
- Leading local campaigns that balance brand building and commercial performance
- Identifying and unlocking new growth opportunities through experimentation and data-led insights
- Driving market expansion initiatives, including new city or territory launches
- Acting as the main marketing interface with regional stakeholders, ensuring global strategies are effectively localised
- Leading, mentoring, and developing a high-performing marketing team
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you will be a seasoned, hands-on marketing leader with strong commercial instincts and a passion for growth.
You will bring:
- Extensive experience leading marketing and growth within a consumer tech, ecommerce, FMCG, or high-growth digital environment
- A proven track record across user acquisition, CAC optimisation, lifecycle marketing, and retention
- Strong analytical capability, with confidence in performance marketing, attribution, cohorts, and experimentation
- Experience managing substantial marketing budgets and P&L exposure
- The ability to operate effectively within a matrix structure, influencing senior stakeholders across functions
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including building and scaling teams
- A balance of creativity and commercial thinking, with a solid understanding of brand building
- Strong communication skills in English
