Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

As the Head of Marketing, you will have full responsibility for leading IGL's marketing and growth strategy, execution, and team performance. This is both a strategic and hands-on role: you will shape direction, but also roll up your sleeves to ensure campaigns, collaborations, and channels deliver.

JOB FUNCTION REQUIREMENTS

Main Task and Accountabilities:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute an integrated marketing & growth strategy covering brand, digital, e-commerce, community, SEO, events, and collaborations.
  • Lead the marketing, creative, and e-commerce teams upskill existing managers and build a culture of accountability, performance, and innovation.(When we scale, I will have a proper Brand Director, which reports to the CMO. But not head of marketing)
  • Act as the bridge between marketing and other departments, ensuring alignment with sales, supply chain, production, and R&D.

E-Commerce & Digital Growth

  • Own e-commerce performance (Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, website), driving traffic, conversion, and GMV growth.
  • Lead digital marketing campaigns across paid, organic, and social, optimizing ROAS and acquisition costs.
  • Drive SEO, content, and community-building efforts to strengthen organic reach and brand visibility.

Events, Collaborations & Community

  • Plan and execute impactful events, partnerships, and collaborations that build loyalty and brand affinity (e.g., car clubs, influencers).
  • Oversee international and local event participation, ensuring ROI and brand consistency.

Brand & Creative Direction(direction is by CEO)

  • Work with CEO to shape the long-term brand narrative, positioning IGL as a global leader in eco-friendly, high-performance coatings.
  • Oversee creative output (design, video, content) to ensure consistency, impact, and alignment with brand values.
  • Support product launches with integrated campaigns that deliver measurable awareness and adoption.

Technical Competencies:

1. Strategic Brand Management:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Utilize market insights and consumer data to inform brand positioning and identify growth opportunities.

2. Integrated Marketing Communications:

  • Design and implement cohesive multi-channel marketing campaigns that amplify the brand message.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics platforms for performance tracking and optimization.

3. Product Marketing:

  • Effectively communicate complex product features and benefits to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in launching and managing product lines within the automotive or chemical industries.

4. Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct and interpret market research to guide brand strategy.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools to extract actionable insights from consumer and market data.

5. Sustainability Marketing:

  • Knowledge of sustainability trends and ability to authentically incorporate eco-friendly messaging into brand communications.
  • Experience in promoting environmentally conscious products or services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in brand management, with a proven track record in the automotive, chemical, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing brand strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing trends and technologies.
  • Experience in sustainability marketing and promoting eco-friendly products.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and project management software.
