Key Responsibilities
- Lead origination and execution of M&A transactions across buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates
- Develop and maintain senior client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor on inorganic growth and strategic initiatives
- Oversee end-to-end deal execution including financial modelling, valuation, due diligence, and preparation of transaction materials
- Drive coordination across internal teams and external advisors to ensure efficient execution of transactions
- Provide strategic insights and market intelligence to clients and internal stakeholders
- Support broader corporate finance activities including ECM-related transactions where relevant
- Play a key role in growing the M&A franchise and expanding sector coverage
- Lead and mentor junior bankers, maintaining strong execution standards across the team
Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate finance
- Strong track record in originating and executing transactions within Malaysia / Southeast Asia
- Solid technical foundation in valuation, financial modelling, and deal structuring
- Existing relationships with corporates, financial sponsors, or institutional clients
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage teams and multiple deal processes
- Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory environment is advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to contribute to revenue generation
- Clear and confident communication style with strong stakeholder management skills
