Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven leader to spearhead the development and growth a strong focus on in-store media, digital retail monetisation, and customer engagement capabilities.
This role will be responsible for shaping the long-term vision, building scalable revenue streams, and driving strategic partnerships with key brand partners. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in transforming retail touchpoints into a high-impact, data-driven media ecosystem that delivers value to both suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Building
- Define and lead the overall vision, strategy, and roadmap for the business with emphasis on in-store and omnichannel media capabilities
- Develop long-term growth strategies across media, CRM-driven engagement, and retail monetisation initiatives
- Identify new opportunities to expand commercial value across physical and digital retail touchpoints
Commercial Ownership & Revenue Growth
- Own overall revenue strategy and delivery for retail media initiatives, including advertising, sponsorships, and trade partnerships
- Develop scalable monetisation models and go-to-market strategies to unlock new revenue streams from suppliers and brand partners
- Drive performance tracking, forecasting, and optimisation of commercial outcomes
Strategic Partnerships & Ecosystem Development
- Build and deepen senior-level relationships with key suppliers, FMCG brands, and strategic partners
- Lead commercial negotiations for integrated retail media solutions, ensuring value creation for both business and partners
- Shape long-term joint business planning with top partners
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner closely with Marketing, Merchandising, Procurement, Operations, Data & Analytics, and IT teams to ensure seamless execution of retail media initiatives
- Embed media solutions into broader commercial and customer engagement strategies
- Drive alignment between in-store execution and overall brand and category strategies
Leadership & Capability Building
- Build and lead a high-performing team across retail media sales, solutions, and operations
- Develop team capabilities in media strategy, commercial selling, and partner management
- Foster a performance-driven, innovative, and collaborative culture
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in retail media, trade marketing, digital advertising, or commercial partnerships, ideally within a retail or FMCG ecosystem
- Proven track record in building and scaling revenue-generating media or commercial platforms
- Strong understanding of retail ecosystem dynamics, supplier engagement, and category growth drivers
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing commercial or cross-functional teams
- Experience in CRM, customer engagement strategies, or data-driven marketing is highly advantageous
- Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving retail environment
