We are looking for a senior technology leader who has full ownership experience across the software development lifecycle from architecture and build through to production stability and optimization.
The right candidate will:
- Have experience leading end-to-end application development and live production environments, ensuring reliability and performance.
- Be able to define and implement development standards, tools, and operating frameworks across engineering teams.
- Demonstrate the ability to align technical solutions with both immediate delivery needs and long-term business strategy.
- Have practical experience shaping and executing a SaaS or platform strategy, with a focus on scalability, reuse, and efficient delivery.
From a technical execution standpoint, the candidate must:
- Be experienced in accelerating time-to-market while maintaining architectural integrity.
- Translate high-level strategy into clear technical designs, ensuring adherence during development.
- Lead engineering teams with a strong sense of commercial awareness and delivery urgency.
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, DevOps methodologies, and cloud-native deployment models, particularly across multi-country environments.
- Embed security, monitoring, observability, and proactive issue management into system design and operations.
In terms of technical background, the candidate should have:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of REST APIs, Spring Boot (Java), JavaScript, ReactJS, Postgres, AWS, and containerisation (e.g. Docker).
- The capability to review code, validate architectural decisions, and assess frameworks or tools, including running proof-of-concepts before adoption.
- Experience working in Agile environments with mature CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders while leading and mentoring development teams.
- Relevant technology qualifications or certifications.
