Are you passionate about driving Strategic Procurement within the Chemicals industry. Our client is looking for a dynamic senior team player to join their business to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the procurement process.
As the Procurement Head, you will take on a high-impact strategic leadership position with matrix reporting to senior executives. You'll play a critical role in aligning procurement objectives with business goals, driving transformation initiatives, ensuring operational efficiency, and building a strong, responsive supply chain ecosystem. You will lead diverse teams, engage key stakeholders, and uphold strong governance across procurement and Supply Chain operations.
Strategic Leadership & Collaboration
- Build collaborative and trusted relationships with senior stakeholders through ongoing engagement.
- Drive key procurement transformation initiatives aligned with company-wide strategies.
- Prioritise resources effectively to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Consolidate procurement across categories to enhance efficiency and value delivery.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with procurement and supply chain policies.
- Lead the management and roll out of procurement policies, contracts, and process improvements.
- Address audit gaps and uphold strong governance across the function.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee end-to-end procurement, logistics, and supply chain operations.
- Monitor and improve key KPIs including:
- Cost savings & avoidance
- Procurement cycle time
- Backorder management
- Partner with stakeholders to support growth through various contracts and initiatives.
People & Performance Leadership
- Lead and mentor teams across Procurement and Supply Chain functions.
- Drive performance management and capability development.
- Provide regular updates on functional growth and operational progress.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 12 years of experience in Procurement, with strong leadership exposure.
- Deep knowledge of procurement tools, methodologies, and best practices.
- Proven success in matrix reporting environments.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience within the chemicals or supply chain domains is an advantage.
Budget set for the role:
Rm20,000 - Rm25,000 basic alone. ( One month fixed bonus)
